During today’s broadcast, we’ll explore bird life through the lens of courtship. We’ll discuss courtship in bald eagles with Amy Ries from the Raptor Resource Project. Then, I’ll talk to Pat Deibert, sagebrush ecosystem science coordinator and wildlife biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, to look at the combat between male sage grouse in their attempt to impress some very discriminating females. Finally, I’ll highlight and explore the fascinating and aerobatic displays of male hummingbirds, a form of aerial dance designed solely to impress the opposite sex.
