First, we’ll learn about the care and rehabilitation of rescued Grauer’s gorillas from Jackson Kabuyaya Mbeke, the director of the GRACE sanctuary in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Then, I’ll be joined by Dr. Katie Fawcett, GRACE’s program director, to discuss a recent great ape survey in the Tayna Nature Reserve, an area near the GRACE sanctuary that local communities conserve to protect forests and ancestral lands for current and future generations.
