  • MadeInGermany WRV is proof of what people can accomplish if they only want. I wish all animal shelters would be no-kill ones. You are a great example and I hope all the other ones will follow. Why killing innocent, unwanted animals. START SPAY/NEUTER AND THERE WILL NOT BE AN OVERPOPULATION. IT SHOULD BE MADE MANDATORY. Thank you for all you do :) and thank for speaking for the ones that can not speak for themselves!!! last year

  • Sandyw First, I do applaud anyone that saves even one animal from potential abuse or euthanisia. I have no idea what this particular shelter is all about, but if you read their website, it says that they safely house ADOPTABLE animals. They define adoptable as over 8 weeks old and those that are reasonably healthy and well adjusted. What that means is that they kill the babies that are not 8 weeks old and the ones that they deem to be unhealthy or not well adjusted. I have personally done animal rescue for over 15 years. I do not say this to be critical of anyone, but I think that people should know even though some shelters tout themselves as being no-kill they truly are not. This is all about numbers and statistics to look good. I know that many shelters where I live say that they don't euthanize healthy and adoptable animals, yet they kill 50% of the animals that enter their shelters. Many of the employees there do not work tirelessy to save animals. They go to work, collect a paycheck and go home at the end of the day. Some employees are very good and they do care. Where I live, some animals are classified as not well adjusted if they are simply shy and scared. Others are classified as not healthy if they have kennel cough which is rampant in large shelters. Where I live, the smaller rescue groups take these animals or they die. All the same, the statics show that no healthy or adoptable animals are being killed. This simply is not true. last year

  • REALITY wARD, YOU SHOULD STOP FEELING SUPERIOR! Why would they need to offer a solution? Cant they just show the good they do, which is better than doing nothing? Your bitter additude is soooo typical of the groups that are not "no kill." very self rightious. Shame on you. open your eyes. We need all types of people doing good, not just one self rightious dog killing know it all group going after others who try to do what they can to better, yes, better a situation. last year
