Tibet: Culture, Vol. 1

Album Description:

Tibet has a unique cultural heritage that for years was relatively hidden to the Western world and preserved from outside influences, due to the remoteness and inaccessibility of the Himalayan region. Tibetan art, music, and literature are all strongly influenced by religion — both Mahayana and Tantric Buddhism and the shamanistic Bön religion of its indigenous people.
