  • airedalemom The world does care, very much. It is time the countries that have existing tigers, not only restore and build up habitat by removing roads, relocating people and planting prey into these regions, but there must be fervent protection. That requires more than "rangers" who's income is derived from positive, but manufactured reports. India, Pakistan, China, Afghanistan, Soviet Union and all regions between with existing tigers need to invest in a military protection specifically geared for the tiger. If poachers are caught, they should get the death penalty, because in these regions that will be the only threat the poor will respect. Also, most importantly is cutting off the money supply. Anyone "buying" these skins or tiger bi-products should have all their assets confiscated by the International controls that allow emergency suspension and confiscation of assets. When the wealthy lose all their wealth, walking around with a tiger skin will become a stupid tradeoff. Also, China needs to come clean with their "tiger parks" and underground market in tiger bone wine, herbs mixed with tiger body parts and trade in skins. The country of China has become the biggest offender of marketing for these animals and the world needs to stop them if they won't do it themselves. God help the surviving tigers. 5 months ago
